Good App but... No retina version...
Good App but... No retina version...
Use it from those times when they just realesed it on iPhone only! Well design and user friendly! well done guys! waiting for announced mail app!
well, it works. But where is full screen mode? And the most important question - why on earth this app needs internet connection? What if Im offline - on the road, on the plane, out of city and civilization?
Finally, almost perfect todo app. I love columns view and the thing that completed tasks remain in the list so I can review and clean them up at the end of the day. But the app feels alien to OSX, not a single regular hotkey works (eg. cmd+, for settings, even cmd+w does not close the window). This is huge bummer. Also it doesn’t work offline, but at least mobile version does, so it’s ok.
Im sorry but i really dont like it. This is a web-based app with a nice interface that will break as soon as you don’t have an internet connection. A lot of work to do, at least on the off-line startup (and possibly with Xcode). I really dont see how can it be featured as an Editors Choice.
I’m expecting a really better mac app from a service like this. There are glitch in preferences tab (options are not saved) and no standalone menu bar icon. It’s barely a web app poorly integrated. I can’t see any improvement over chrome extension.
Using it on a macbook pro retina with Yosemite I simply can Not go over the loading. infinity loading….. Very Very useless!
It was on the right track, but it seems the developers have stopped development. They release an “update” everyone in a while to keep up appearences, but no real work is being done to improve the app.
No delete button on tasks and they dont respond to the typical delete keyboard command. You have to mark a task completed, scroll down to it when it is moved to the bottom of your tasks list, click the X beside it, go to settings -> completed tasks -> and click X next to it. Then it is finally deleted. *as far as I can tell.. it could be still hanging out somewhere. Tasks have no detail layout options. Just task titles in a list. I want to see information about creation time, completetion time/date, etc. If I wanted just a title and a faded title for complete tasks Id use word or excel.... Who designed the interface of this crap?
When I open the application, it opens a window that has…nothing in it. It’s blank. White. When I right-click on it and click “reload,” nothing happens.
You can’t rearrange the order of subtasks? That’s such a basic and intuitive feature that it’s astounding to me it doesn’t exist within this otherwise perfect software. What a shame.
When you first start the app it sits there for 15 seconds doing nothing. Just as you are about to give up it shows a loading indicator that keeps going for almost a minute. Every time you start the app it goes through at least a 15 second loading sequence. This is a strong clue that they have just wrapped the web app up behind the desktop interface. When I tried to attach a file, a window popped up trying to sell on the subscription. That alone might be ok, but there was no way to get back to my tasks after that without quitting the app and starting again. That is amazingly lame. I cannot think of a less effective way to make me upgrade! Please don’t bother with this app. It exists solely to sucker Mac users into buying a subscription, with no thought about usability or usefulness. That Apple put this thing in Best New Apps is almost scandalous.
The app update was seen as a great relief but the error ridden experience continues.. It takes a long time for the app to open and it is frustrating. Please remove the bugs and give us a clean app which works without a hitch
Its working just fine for me, starts up quickly, and works well. Logging in via Google was annoying as I couldnt copy/paste any information, but other than that, I havent seen any major issues yet.
After getting started using this app, I could not figure out how to rearrange the folders. After some Googling, I found out this is not yet a feature. Tasks that I want to see often appear in a list that is not even viewable on the screen, and there’s no way to drag it over so that I can customize what I see. I was so excited to use Any.do, but this a deal breaker. I’m off to try Wunderlist now...
Not perfect and I did lose a some notes related to a task (just disappeared). But AnyDo has the best UI i’ve ever used for entering/managing tasks and the iPhone sync works without drama. I own the far more powerful Omni product as well, but I use this more mostly because it is so simple and fast.
Great application. Have been using it for years. Strongly recommend it.
UPDATE: The app is much better after the latest upate. Still a lot of improvment potential but it is a quick and simple task organizer that syncs well across devices. I like it a lot and the dev’s continue to update which is a good thing for everyone! first off I’ve been using the ios app for a long time and love it. This app shows promise but it’s buggy. Not awful but for instance you can’t drag and drop items from TODAY to TOMORROW for instance like you can on the iphone app. People complaining about sync with icloud etc need to get with the times and realize it will be their only choice in the future if they want to be a part of using apps. Guess what? If you use a credit or debit card you just gave your info to the world as well. Get over it! Good app but needs a lot of work
I bought this for the nice clean interface. Unfortunately even though I bought the upgrade the app still shows as the Free version. I wrote to customer support and they took days to reply then told me to reinstall. Finally one installation showed Premium. The second never did. I wrote a second time and still have not heard back. I am uninstalling now.
App very helpful for juggling tasks for multiple activies of busy entrepreneur with job and family. Found easiest to enter and organize new tasks on laptop and then check off on mobile as I complete task. Haven’t figured out how to organize way I want to on iphone version yet but am new user.
