Don’t waste time

Payed features for task manager app is really ridiculous especially when you have evernote. The iOS app works better than this one. Loging failed to me twice and I unninstalled it. It should be native app for task manager I don’t want to connect myself all the time to the internet in order to push a task in my task list, this is ridiculous. No handoff as well. Very bad experience! And yeah as mentioned before the support for other language is very poor.

Worst UI...

I loved the iPhone version for it simplicity and efficiency.. The mac app is not along those lines. It’s feeling like a windows app, big buttons for list (you don’t see the content untill clicked…) And list presentation aren’t customizable enough (2 or 3 options, none that i like). I think it’s possible to get it to be better, and I hope they will because it’s too bad to have such an horrible computer port of an iPhone app.

Needs to be improved

Any.do for mac is good, but lacks some functions of the mobile app, like a pop-up baloon to postpone reminders. It`s good overall, but needs to be improved to be as good as mobile app! Keep up the good work, because this is one of the best and simple reminder app!!

Perfect, effective and straight forward!

My best friend when it comes to organizing the days to come and making sure nothing gets left out =) Highly recommended!

Dark Mode?

Hi, I think many people agree that it’s mandatory to have a dark mode option, as much as possible. Thanks

Wrapper for Safari Window

This app is only a wrapper for a Safari window. It provides excactly the same functions that you get when navigating to www.any.do - useless when offline.

Only works with an internet connection

I gave this 2 stars because this app requires you to be online to start. This is an criterion for exclusion for me.

Dont’t even bother downloading

I couldn’t even get the app started, waste of time

from hero to zero….

once your software was one of the best todo iOS apps in the itunes store. now, it´s just another todo app in the app store. pros + it syncs + it has an icon + its not from microsoft cons - no offline mode (- frequently asks for app store login at every app start) - fixed in vers. 1.1.4. - not a native app, just a web app/hidden browser with no OS functionality - no german localization - subscription model instead of pay-once

Fairly good but...

I love the functionality of the app and of the service and it would be a full 5 starts EXCEPT it doesn’t have fullscreen support. It’s such a simple thing but the fact that this is left out is beyond annoying. Fix that and it’s near perfect.

Has potential but...

The concept is very interesting and the features show potential. But, you are forced to log in and I don’t like clowd solutions with no explicit offline mode. Also, the biggest point that makes my review, app does not feel native at all (feel like I’m in a mini-browser) and navigation within the app is horrible, it is not intuitive, clicking in whitespace within the app brings you back to the home page. Desktop notifications can be turned off, but not back on. Settings have to be clicked to be toggled with no indication they are actually buttons that look like a list, etc.

Almost There

I’m not quite happy I plonked down $26 for an annual subscription. The UI is excellent and the sync between my iOS devices and Mac is nice. This is emerging to be a great app. Wish it connected with Reminders for cross-app connectivity. PROBLEM: every time I launch the app it signs me into the app store to re-purchase. That’s annoying. The icon for “Dark” mode in Yosemite disappears and you can’t keep it there. It’s getting there. I have hopes.

My favourite feature & great support...

I’m been using this app for the past 24 hours and it works fairly well. I primarily purchased it for the wonderful horizontal task view (i.e. Today, Tomorrow, Upcoming, Someday) which ensures all tasks are much more accessible and easy to view at a glance. Every other to do app lists this information vertically and I feel this is the wrong approach, at least on a desktop computer, as tasks towards to bottom of a list get lost. With this app there’s more incentive to power through ‘Todays’ tasks as you immediatly know what due ‘Tomorrow’. If anything changes, you can drag and drop tasks from one list to another with ease. Awesome! Sure, it’s a new app and there’s a few bugs. I emailed support and they were prompt in letting me know fixes are on the way. This includes - fullscreen support - app store login appears each time the app launches (only an issue if you have the annual subscription) Jump on in, the app is great. If you can’t live with some initial teething issues, hold out for a few weeks, then take the plunge, Just like any new app, there’s going to be a few little bugs, but it’ll sort itself out soon enough. This developer is on the case.

please fix bug!

I’m switching over to this from “Things”, mostly because I want something on my Macbook (that I can sync with iOS) without the ridiculous price point. Same functionality, maybe even better interface. The only problem is that there is some kind of bug that prompts you to log in to the itunes store whenever the app opens. this is a seriously annoying flaw and needs to be fixed, otherwise I would’ve given it five stars.

Buggy

I downloaded this app from the appstore, and yet every-time I open it it prompts me for my apple ID and password, and it kinda hangs in the background. It also won’t work when I’m offline probably for the same reason. Not that helpful. The app looks good, and with support for multiple platforms has lots of potential, but a lack of iPad app (native resolution is not available), and buggy logins / offline support this doesn’t stack up to Things, Clear or Wunderlist (or the good old Evernote) at the moment. I want to like it as a nice simple task app, and I want to go premium, but the polish is lacking here.

Not made for mac :(

I have been a huge fan of Any.do, and continue using it for my personal and professional task management. Unfortunately the mac app is not build for mac. It is a blatantly cheap effort that takes the web version and reuses it for mac. The key missing aspects: + Interface is too bulky for laptop usage + Lack of integration with the O/S — system wide shortcut to easily add task, menu bar access to tasks, notification bar widget + Bad UI for mac. Largely non-intuitive use of whitespace. Such big boxes? Has this been UI-tested on mac airs? + Order of tasks on mac does not reflect the iOS order + Lack of auto-sync, and if that exists a configuration for auto-sync interval Suggestion: Look at Fantastical and Day.One for how they have integrated calendar with the O/S; and take a look at Mailbox to see how simplistic UI can work well on Mac by smart use of the screen real estate. All the best.

Anydo 3 is great.

I can’t add tasks anymore. Thanks.

Sync Issues

The products is well designed in terms of UI and usability but there are continuoud sync issues between the desktop and mobile apps. Tried to get support several times but it did not help.

Great App!

As a any.do fan I want to thank you for this nice, user-friendly and handy app. There is just one little thing could be improved about segmentation of notes. I sometimes just wanna put something down casually such as password, a useful link, or maybe just an idea. Instead of using another app to make everthing more complex, I prefer putting eveything into Any.do but I always hesitate over whether I shoud choose today, tomorrow, upcoming or someday. I think a spot for instant notes would be quite handy. Anyway, I love any.do and appreciate its freemium option as well. It deserves 5 stars more than most of the other apps! Freezes all the time

Generally speaking, the app looks awful on your mac. It does not look like it is adjusted for the Retina screen and when it opens it is ucomfortably large, making it harder to reach the dock at the bottom of our screen. I would suggest minimizing the area it covers when you open it. However the most important issue is the Premium Ads. I am a free user so I have these Premium ads and when I click on it I am directed to a place where it shows me the benefits of preoum membership. Only after than, I cannot get out of there, the program freezes and I have to shut it down completely and reopen it to return to my normal homescreen. This has to be fixed or it is just going to be too much of a hassle for me to use this app on my mac and smartphone.
